Who We Are

If you are looking for a warm, friendly, and inviting congregation–plus an opportunity to be transformed by the power of Jesus Christ–then you have come to the right place! Trinity United Methodist Church is located along the beautiful Susquehanna River in the quiet community of Espy, PA just outside of Bloomsburg. Inside our newly renovated sanctuary, you will experience the presence of the Holy Spirit through worship, the message, and most of all, through God’s people as we all seek to “do life together.” We have a blended worship service that combines traditional hymns with contemporary praise music, all of which is led from piano. Our conservative, Biblically based messages on Sunday morning are always informative, encouraging, and motivational. They challenge the congregation to grow in both their knowledge of Scripture and their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our mission as a people of God is to become a body of faithful disciples seeking to transform lives with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We achieve this through our Sunday morning worship service, an engaging Adult Sunday School after church. Throughout the year we engage in several different community and outreach events including a Community Worship Service and Picnic in the Scott School Park, Breakfast with Santa and other fellowship programs.

Please visit our Get Involved Page for further information on the various ministry opportunities and programs throughout the year in which you can become involved. You can also take a look at our Events Page to see what’s going on at Trinity United Methodist Church. May God bless you as you seek to grow in your relationship with Him!

Pastor Caleb Fritz

cfritzI have been blessed to be involved in ministry since the time I was in high school. I served the United Methodist Church when I was young as a Certified Lay Speaker and then got heavily involved in music ministry after college. I graduated from Bloomsburg University with a B.S. in Education.
After teaching for two years, I began touring full-time as part of a Christian band called WatersEdge. We recorded in Nashville, TN and released our album to national Christian radio. However, three years later, we decided to come off the road to seek a more consistent lifestyle as families began to grow.

I worked as the Administrative Assistant at Benton United Methodist Church for a year as I discerned my own call into pastoral ministry. A year later I entered the candidacy process, and after completing licensing school, I was appointed as the pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church of Espy. I am currently a seminary student at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH in the Master of Divinity degree program.

I have a wife, Elizabeth, and three children Michael, Maria and Gabriel. We enjoy playing outside, going to the park, taking evening walks around town, and playing golf together! I am blessed to be at Trinity United Methodist Church, and I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead for me and this church as we work together in ministry to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world!
