How Do I Meet People?

Trinity United Methodist Church of Espy is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a teenager, a young adult, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at our church.

Adult Sunday School

Meets Sunday after church at 10:15 a.m. Regardless of how well you know the Bible, this hour of engaging study and discussion is sure to help you grow in your knowledge of scripture, and in your faith journey as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Prayer Warriors

Meets every Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. This committed group meets weekly at the church to pray for those who are in need of God’s healing and comfort in their life. “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer” Matthew 21:22

Nursery

Children’s Nursery runs during the hour of worship on Sunday mornings from 9:00-10:00 a.m. As we seek to be a multi-generational congregation, we recognize that the role of our Nursery is incredibly important. These vital ministries not only provide our young people with a chance to learn about God, but they also provide our parents with a chance to worship and fellowship free from the distraction of tending to their children.

Liturgical Involvement

One of the things that make worship engaging and inspiring is the involvement of the congregation in Sunday morning worship services. Whether it’s leading worship, reading scripture, being a greeter or usher, acolyte, special music, or running our media and audio-visual technology, there are many opportunities to take part in our worship services at Trinity UMC. You will find sign-up sheets on our bulletin board in the Social Hall for these various Liturgical opportunities.

Building Maintenance

We are always looking for help to maintain our beautiful church. Whether it’s a Spring clean-up, mowing grass or shoveling snow, it takes a team of helping hands to keep our building safe and secure.

Special Events

Our church holds a number of special events and fundraisers throughout the year, including: Chicken & Biscuit Dinners, Easter baskets, church picnic, Christmas events and special holiday services. These events take the gifts and talents of many people in order to be successful. You can find a list of our special events on our Events page listed on the menu bar above.
